The short version: the only personal information Cropy asks for is your email address, and only if you choose to unlock the full property comparison. It is used to send you a one-time sign-in link and to keep you signed in. The site's pages do not load analytics or advertising trackers, and your data is not sold.

What we collect

  • Your email address. When you enter it on the home page or the sign-up page, it is sent to Supabase Auth, which creates a one-time sign-in link and sends it to that address. It is also what keeps you signed in.
  • Sign-in records. Supabase records account details such as when your account was created, when you last signed in and when your email address was confirmed.
  • Nothing else is requested. The sign-up form asks for an email address only. The investment amount you type into the comparison calculator stays in your browser and is not sent to Cropy.

Where your email address is stored

Sign-up and sign-in are handled by Supabase Auth. Cropy's Supabase project is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region, ap-south-1.

The site owner can see the list of signed-up email addresses in Supabase and can export it to a Google Sheet that the owner controls. The export contains each account's ID, email address, creation time, last sign-in time and email-confirmation time. The owner runs the export manually.

What your browser stores

  • Sign-in session. After you use the sign-in link, the Supabase library keeps your session in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in on that device. Signing out ends the session in that browser.
  • Site files. Cropy installs a service worker that keeps copies of its own pages and files so the site can load quickly and open offline. It does not store data loaded from Cropy's database.
  • Cookies. Cropy's own code does not set cookies.

You can remove everything stored on your device at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Third-party services

These providers receive standard request data, such as your IP address and browser type, when your browser contacts them:

  • Vercel hosts and delivers the site's pages.
  • Supabase provides the database that the comparison pages read from and the sign-in service. Your browser connects to it directly.
  • jsDelivr delivers the Supabase JavaScript library used by the home, sign-up, comparison and archive pages.
  • Google Fonts delivers the Inter typeface used across the site.

The site's pages do not load analytics, advertising or social-media tracking scripts.

How your data is used

Your email address is used to send you sign-in links and to manage access to the full comparison. The site owner can also see and export the list of signed-up addresses, as described above. Your data is not sold.
